Tips in a Jiffy, Jiffy Lube Video Series: Tires 101

Welcome to the Tips in a Jiffy, Jiffy Lube
video series. Today we will be discussing, tires. Your tires are very important. They keep your vehicle in contact with the
road and keep you in control of your vehicle. You may not see it right away, but your tires
wear unevenly. Differently in the front than they do in the
back and differently on each side. Getting them rotated on a regular basis can
help maximize tire life and help provide even wear for optimal safety and performance. Proper tire inflation will help to give you
the longest tire life. It can also help with fuel economy as well
as helping to provide the best overall tire performance so you can stop in a jiffy when
a car in front of you hits the brakes. Check your tire pressure once a month. To find the correct tire pressure for your
vehicle, just check the tire placard usually located on the driver’s side door jamb. You can also refer to the owner’s manual. Newer vehicles are equipped with a tire-pressure-monitoring
system or TPMS. These are sensors that will alert you when
one or more of your tires is significantly under-inflated. It will pop up on your dash in the form of
this light. If you see this, you’ll want to check pressure in each tire as soon as possible and reinflate to recommended settings, or
you can just bring it into a Jiffy Lube and let us help. Keep in mind, having these sensors on your
vehicle does not negate the need to check your tire pressure every month. Additionally, if you find your tires are always
under-inflated, be sure to have them inspected for damage. Don’t forget, if you have any questions or
are unsure about anything we’ve discussed, just bring your vehicle into a Jiffy Lube
and let our team give you the help you need. That’s all for tires. Thanks for watching. We’ll see you on the road.
