The True Importance of Tires?

hi Amy Church here with Papa buy action calm welcome to your quick tip of the day today’s quick tip I’ve talked about tires before I’m going to talk about it again and why the importance of a walk around is so important so when the service customer comes in and drops off the vehicle I’ve told you in the past we told you in the courses I told you at the live events check the tires right have that tire gauge check to make sure and check to see and show the customer visually to build that confidence that you’re not lying to them they don’t need to shop anywhere else they need tires why do I say that well when you sell the tire to a customer they visit you three times more than an average customer because they don’t go anywhere else what happens when you don’t if you’re not the one who sells on the tire then the person have the road it sells on the tire and they obviously do the upsell opportunity they sell them the oil change and the maintenance and now you’ve lost them completely so what’s that mean from an overall business if you keep that tire business the average tiredness ease are quarter into dealer tire latest research they spend 2.5 times more in service in your service department then the customer who does not buy tires from you why is that because they’re they’re they’re retention you can then do the upsell opportunities in their proper walk around and also a proper vehicle health inspection as well the vehicles not there you can’t do any of that stuff so use tires as a retention tool make sure you’re showing them make sure you’re talking to the customer before they leave hey you’re in the yellow you’re in the red let’s do a food for you let’s make sure we get it right we’re competitively priced you don’t worry about anything like that no no not make sure you got it done get that extra Bank in your and view tires as a retention make sure your service advisors are not using this as an excuse to just not do the type of sale make sure they’re looking at tires and viewing it as a profit opportunity that it is that’s your quick tip of the day I’ll talk to you again real soon be profitable
