Sesame Street: The Wheels Go Round

Sesame Street: The Wheels Go Round

[MUSIC PLAYING TO THE TUNE
“WHEELS ON THE BUS”] BOY: [SINGING] The wheels on my chair go round
and round, round and round, round and round. The wheels on my chair
go round and round all through the town. And the brake on my chair goes
back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. The brake on my chair
goes back and forth all through the town. And the belt on my chair goes
open and close, open and close, open and close. The belt on my chair
goes open and close all through the town. And the wheels on my chair go
round and round, round and round, round and round. The wheels on my chair
go round and round all through the town.

  1. I loved Tarah! 😀 I thought she was such a great character and she was so optimistic 🙂 I miss the original Sesame Street. 🙁

  2. Adorable! May she have a wonderful and full life. As I push myself today I will think of her and smile.

    Thanks!

  3. I loved how Sesame Street portrayed kids in wheelchairs on the show over the years. I wish they would do more of that now.

As someone who was born with a disability, has been a wheelchair user since 1999, and who now teaches preschool/pre-K kids about people who are different in the job I do.

It's great that Sesame Street provides this kind of insight. I loved how they did the "Meet Julia" episode. There are a few kids with autism where I work, and they are 100% included in everything. The kids don't see them as being different either.

  4. Tarah I remember when you where on the show in the 90s it ment so much to me cause use a wheelchair too I have mild cp

  5. When I was little I used to love terah. I adored her much esp when I went to a special needs preschool program. I have autism.
