Review of the Thule Fat Tire Adapter Kit – etrailer.com

Today on our Thule T2 Bike Rack, we’re
going to be replacing a set of standard wheel cradles with a set of fat tire wheel cradles. Here’s just a quick comparison of what
the front wheel cradle looks like, a fat tire versus a standard wheel cradle that comes
on the T2. Now in installing the fat tire bike carrier,
it installs the same whether you’re putting it on the inner rail or the outer rail. Simply remove the end, the screw and the knot
removed, slide the old one off, the new one goes on, put the knot and the screw back in
place and the end cap. As for the rear, for the front, again it’s
the simple 2 screws underneath, remove the old ones, put the new ones on and replace
the screws. That’s all there is to it. Couple simple hand tools will do it. We’ll go ahead and start here with the
rear one, it’s the rear tire wheel cradle. We’ll go ahead and remove this plastic
in cap, simple flat edge screw driver, just along the edge, gently twist it
to work the
in cap out, set that aside for now.
