  1. interestingly one people often forget about helmets is doing up the chin strap. Iv seen people put a helmet on and then not bother doing it up all the time but in reality its like wearing a seat belt, if its not done up you might as well not be wearing a helmet

  2. #5 especially. I tell my buddy this all the time and he thinks I'm crazy. Alright – I'm a little bit crazy, but it's really bad to get on the bike if you feel weird or are upset.

  3. Don’t ride if you don’t have gear:
My mum, when she was 18, took her dirt bike to a shop in Kendal. It was autumn and there was quite a few wet leaves. The went round a corner, slipped on the leaves and her and her bike went skidding. She blacked out and she woke up a few mins later and all she was asking is if her fareings were ok. But her knee wasn’t- she only was wearing leggings (which I own now, they have a hole in the knee area, I don’t wear the ofc) and now she has arthritis in her knee, just cause’ she couldn’t be bothered to put leathers on to go to a corner shop two miles away from her house.

  4. Thanks for making videos about riding. I haven't been a bike in about 30 years and want to start riding again. Still looking for the right bike a cruiser not a sport bike, and also a refresher riding course. I was in an accident in the early 80's and the helmet kept me from having brain damage. Lady made a left turn in front of me and I hit the side of her car. I ended up about 30' from that point. After I got home from the hospital, just to get checked over. The bike was totaled my cloths were tore up the helmet had a big skid mark in one spot from the pavement and the only thing I had was a couple of scratches and some sore mussels. I was only going about 45 mph when it all happened.

  5. Hey I knew the scenery was familiar haha, me and my friends love to go up to Mt. Lemon, I like to take just my road bike and have my friends drop me off from the top and coast down the whole way.

  6. Ok just bought my first Harley, have no idea how to ride. Saving money for the class but it’s fun watching these videos. I know every road your on even the gated neighborhood. 🙂

  7. If you drop a bike and your helmet hits the road get a new one, new helmets are like crush bumpers on cars, they are only good for one fall. DO NOT RIDE IN FLIP-FLOPS, SEEN THIS A LOT. DO NOT RIDE WHILE TAKING LSD AND THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS LOOK LIKE XMAX LIGHTS, STORY I WAS TOLD. I HAVE RIDDING FOR 50 YEARS ONLY ONE CRASH BECAUSE OF MY NEXT ''DO NOT'' IF YOUR FRONT BRAKE CABLE SNAPS DO NOT RIDE STOP STOP, LOOKING AT THE STARS IS FUN EXCEPT IF YOU ARE SPINNING THROUGH THE AIR, HURTS WHEN YOU LAND PS NEVER BROKE ANY BONES, NOT EVEN ROAD RASH MY BUCKET LIST BE THE OLDEST MAN TO GO CROSS COUNTRY AND BACK IN THE SHORTEST TIME WILL TAKE A WEEK BEFORE RETURN TO VISIT A FRIEND IN CA Best story Got a DWI as I was in Anaphylaxis shock(blew a 0 on the meter) and they still charged me with DWI sued the deptartment and won. FIREPERSONS ARE GREAT WHO ELSE WOULD SCOOP YOU UP AND PUT THE PARTS IN YOUR LID

  8. I stopped listening at "I didn't know how to change my breaks". Smdh. You better get of a motorcycle if you're that inept.

  9. Of sound mind… what if the bike is your transportation… then what haha call into work haha. Sorry boss I’m sad today can’t work…

  10. Don't ride if your gut is telling you not too. On two separate occasions, I had all my gear on, got my bike out, fired it up and I dunno.. Had this intuition telling me just leave it parked today..

  11. Hey man I just realized u live in my town when you said mount lemmon xD. But yeah I’m getting into riding soon so maybe I’ll see you out there.

  12. I've ridden with a full face helmet my work boots shorts no shirt and a leather jacket before however I trust my boots with my life got me through ten mountains

  13. Hyyy Dan 😀 Do you suggest buying any gear equipment from Ebay.. Such as gloves, and Vizier glass or just in general, do you have any experiance buying from Ebay? how is your take on that. Best Regards Aryan.

  14. I just bought a Harley Street 500 and can't ride yet. How many hours before I will feel confident in traffic, do you think? I'm a bit nervous and female.

  15. Wow wow wow your comment on don’t ride if you don’t feel like it’s a perfect day. It’s so true I thought I was the only one to know this. See we live in Vermont and we we have about 3 lol good riding days here and if you don’t ride you get shit from your friends and I always answer I did not feel the ride, but I will be alive today and ready for the next day thank you for vindicating me

  16. Your comment regarding the correct size helmet struck home. I started riding at 60 my first helment I just didn't know it wasn't suppose to hurt. I just purchased my first Shoei and was amazed at the difference in my riding it's now much more enjoyable. The sad part I've been riding for 5 years and just made this discovery. Boy do I feel silly!

  17. DDFM is the only person that can make a vlog video that convinces you riding might be to dangerous after all, then in the next video has you itching to jump on a bike

  18. If there is someone now thinking 'Well, I probably should get working break lights.' they might stop riding at all.

  19. Brand new, learn to basic in motorcycle class, female, 5”2 medium to small build, weigh 183 what’s the best beginner motorcycle to purchase?

  20. I bet you've been asked 1000 times before but I MUST ask man… HOW on earth can you keep riding after witnessing such horrors please?

  21. Don't make Riding Instructional Videos, if you've been riding less than 5 years……..which is basically EVERYONE on youtube….

  22. As I’m walking out of the msf course, holding my certificate. I see a zx6r driving down the road in flip flops.

  23. Saw a dude flying through my town on a dirt bike (which is illegal but he clearly doesn't care since he was wearing a t-shirt and jeans).

  24. You say not to ride without proper gear all the time but then you ride with your cell phone facing you with bullet points on it. I may go out and ride with a t-shirt on but my eyes are always on the road and what's around me. You ride in full gear but will glance down at your phone to read real quick.

I'm just busting your balls man! Although I don't wear full gear all the time, it is something I should probably do.

  25. All this guy talks about is gear and safety. He has a VAGINA I don’t wear a helmet or none of that catch me pushing 90 with no decent brakes

  26. I live 30 miles east of St. Louis and see people all the time especially in Illinois riding in tank top, shorts, flip flops, no gloves, no helmet lol

  27. My 7 year old niece says, "Motovloggers shouldnt talk with their hands so much. That should be on the list…keep your hands on the bars". I agree. These aren't unboxing videos where the only action is the vloggers hands. Be safe!

  28. Dude while I agree with on some points, telling people that they shouldn't ride without wearing armour and boots and stuff is just your opinion. Some people enjoy the freedom of riding their motorcycle to destinations where its not practical to wear riding boots or body armour. These videos are just looking like a moneymaking enterprise with affiliate marketing. I know commenting, negative or positive is beneficial for your channel so I'm offering my opinion on your opinions.

  29. So, as I idly watch through YouTube videos and your point about not riding if your brakes are worn out. Sigh: spent three hours cleaning my bike, tensioning the chain, lubricating and – with thoughts of the open road …aborted when I realised how bad my brake pads are. Bah – bikes stays put until I can get some new pads…

  30. Honestly, the work boots thing is where I disagree. I have tried on some 'rated' motorcycle boots and shoes that had nowhere near the protection of my work boots, which are actually very stiff and rugged compared to most, so they may he an outlier there. Some of the marketed motorcycle footwear is a complete joke and I don't understand how they get rated and I would not trust my feet in them.

  31. Wether you in a car or on a motorcycle and get hit hard enough you will literally fly out your socks do to the energy

  32. I think stupid is a young rider like yourself giving advice when you still know nothing. I watched a few of your videos, and I am waiting for your crash video showing how little you really know.

  33. CE ratings are self-regulated, not enforced. So gear may or may not really be CE. Biggest safety thing that should be mandatory: Decelerators activated brake lights. People do not get a brake light when you engine brake, unless you apply a bit of brake to activate the brake light. With the Deceleration causing a brake light., that rocks. There are $40 models with a small unit or a License plate with it built in. I have two of the license plate and one internal unit.

  34. Hey dan
Have a question for you, I’m new to the motorcycle world (3 month rider here) how do you know when ur brakes are bad on a bike?

  35. You are good … but when I'm sad or happy I just love to ride my bike 🙂
Its really makes me chill … thank you🍒

  36. My pops uses his old military boots whenever he rides and always says they have saved his ankles more times than he can remember. They come up all the way to just under his calves and are laced up with extra padding in the upper areas of the leg. He has admitted that if he had worn his motorcycle boots on certain occasions he'd have no cartilage in his ankles.
He tells me (once I get my license to drive) to buy a pair of military boots.
